Medical detox is a supervised process of safely managing withdrawal symptoms when stopping drugs or alcohol. It typically lasts 3 to 10 days, depending on the substance and severity of use. In a healthcare setting, professionals provide care to ensure safety, reduce discomfort, and stabilize individuals for ongoing treatment. In many cases, detox is the crucial first step toward recovery. Many individuals will go directly on to a CSS program.
A 30-day treatment program, often referred to as Clinical Stabilization Services (CSS), is a short-term residential treatment designed to provide intensive support and structure after detox or during early recovery. These programs typically last 3 to 4 weeks and focus on stabilizing individuals physically, mentally, and emotionally while addressing the underlying causes of addiction.
A Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is an intensive outpatient treatment option for individuals seeking recovery from substance abuse or mental health issues. PHP offers structured care while allowing participants to live at home or in a sober living environment. It serves as a step down from residential treatment or a step up from traditional outpatient care.
An Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is a structured treatment option for individuals recovering from substance abuse or mental health challenges. It provides therapy and support while allowing participants to maintain their daily responsibilities, such as work, school, or family commitments. IOP typically follows detox or a higher level of care, such as inpatient treatment or PHP.
The H.O.P.E. Center does not provide detox, 30-day treatment, PHP, or IOP services, but we’re here to guide you. Our staff can help find local treatment options in Norfolk County and assist in facilitating the process. You’re not alone—let us help you take the next step toward recovery.
This scholarship supports Norfolk County residents and their families with financial assistance for sober living. Applicants must have a co-signer, such as a case manager, clinician, or probation officer.
